About Us – Blood at the Root Inc.
Blood at the Root, a certified non-profit organization, formed to enhance the lives of prior military veteran women in Maryland and its surrounding areas. We care for those who sacrificed everything for the safety and security of others.
Our mission is to acquire, finance, provide, and operate resource-enriched homelike housing for veteran women who temporarily lack the economic resources to access quality as well as safe housing opportunities.
Our organization strives to make sure that they are provided information about benefits and resources, that they have earned as veterans to help them empower themselves and others.
These proud honorary military veteran women served our country and now it is Blood at the Roots honor to serve them.
Aims in detail:
1. To provide military veteran women with self-development programs, to develop interpersonal relationships that will facilitate to equip them with skills that will enable them to forge bonds and work to improve their quality of life.
2. To support, military veteran women providing them with suitable accommodation, and empower them to transition into a successful civilian career.
3. To provide access to organizations who can offer up-to-date and accessible information on employment, further training as well as wider opportunities.
4. To identify and develop links with employers, in areas close to the accommodation occupied by the veterans as well as other relevant agencies regionally.
5. To provide quality ‘Service of Care’ to our military veteran women.
6. To set high expectations and then apply our skills, energy, and passion for the military and what they stand for; to provide exceptional ‘Service of Care’.
7. To regularly evolve our ‘Service of Care’ to match the changing requirements of the Veteran Community to ensure military veteran women can benefit from the provision provided.
Blood at the Root has organized and sponsored programs for homeless military veteran women’s facilities throughout the Maryland and its surrounding areas, supporting them by.
• Information- Informing veterans in need of available services
• Empowerment – equipping military veteran women to make informed choices
• Resettlement – encouraging and supporting women towards independent living
